• Contact data — Name, email, subject, message from the contact form.
• Analytics — Aggregated, anonymised page-view data. No personal identifiers stored.

3. How we use your data

• To display your reactions and feedback on articles.
• To respond to contact inquiries.
• To improve the platform by understanding which topics are most helpful.

We never sell your personal data.

4. Service providers

• Authentication provider — Helps create accounts, sign users in, and protect sessions.
• Data storage provider — Stores user-generated content such as comments, reactions, and feedback.
• Hosting provider — Delivers How Things Work pages and application files securely.

5. Data retention & deletion

Account data is retained while you have an account. Request deletion at privacy@howthingswork.live.

6. Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication, preferences, and basic site functionality. Optional analytics runs only after you choose “Allow analytics” in the cookie banner. No advertising cookies are used.
